Beddingfield cruises past Goldsboro on baseball diamond

Beddingfield erupted for 11 runs in the top half of the third inning and cruised past Goldsboro, 15-4, in non-conference play on Friday.
The Cougars played with five freshmen and two sophomores in the lineup. Brody Morton doubled for GHS. Teammates Tommy Vick, Jamal Wilson and Michael Eltz provided one hit apiece.
Maurice Stokes endured the mound loss.
Goldsboro (0-3 overall) entertains Princeton on Tuesday.
