Rosewood girls dominate North Duplin

SALEMBURG -- Three-time defending regular-season champion Rosewood exploded for 32 points in the first quarter and cruised past North Duplin, 68-19, on day one of the Carolina 1-A Conference tournament Tuesday evening.
Lexi Mercer collected 21 points for the Eagles. Jala Holloman scored 18.
Daja Aycock led the Rebels (2-19) with eight points.
