UMO: Hoops games with Lees-McRae moved up an hour

MOUNT OLIVE -- Due to forecasts for snow in western North Carolina through tomorrow morning, University of Mount Olive officials changed today's starting times for home basketball games against Lees-McRae College.
The women tip off at 4:30 p.m.
UMO's home opener in softball against Francis Marion was postponed due to unplayable field conditions. A make-up date has not been announced.
The Trojans' men's volleyball team is the guest of archrival Barton today. The men's lacrosse team, ranked No. 11 nationally, launches its 2016 campaign at Brevard. The women's lacrosse team is the guest of in-state Southeast Region foe Lenoir-Rhyne.
Women's golf
ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- Julie Loennechen shared 28th place individually and University of Mount Olive finished 11th overall in team competition during the World Golf Village Invitational.
The 18-team field included eight nationally-ranked teams.
Loennechen posted a 36-hole round of 159 that included birdies on No. 18 and No. 1. She shaved five strokes off her opening-day score of 82.
Paula Guridi ended up 32nd with a 160. Julia Kaeding (161) and Anne Barboteau (162) rounded out the Trojans' team scoring. UMO posted a two-day total of 642.
Mount Olive returns to action March 2 in the two-day AASU Women's Pirate Invitational in Savannah, Ga.
