TARBORO -- Jordan Todd earned Most Outstanding Wrestler honors and helped Rosewood cruise to the Carolina-Two Rivers-Coastal 10 Conference tournament crown Saturday.
The Eagles amassed 234 points, followed by Manteo with 189. Tarboro (132.5 points), Princeton (83.5) and Neuse Charter (79.5) rounded out the five-team competition.
Todd captured the 126-pound title and was one of five Eagles to emerge as an individual title-winner on the day. Timothy Decatur-Luker (106 pounds), Reid Amodeo (120), Jayden Thomas (138), Seth Finney (152) and Blake Dean (220) each had a gold medal draped around their neck.
Louis Tortual (132), Rich Jest (160) and senior Dylan Melgar (170) each placed second. Joey Behrend (145) and Chis Hill (113) each wound up third in their respective weight class.
All 11 Eagles received all-conference accolades.
Princeton's Michael Daughtry fell to Tarboro's Quadarrius Hopkins in the 145-pound final. Teammate Gage Holmes claimed second place at 113 pounds. Daughtry and Holmes garnered all-conference honors.
