Rosewood girls crush Hobbton

NEWTON GROVE -- Lexi Mercer delivered 28 points, 16 rebounds, six assists and seven steals as Rosewood throttled Hobbton, 88-62, in a Carolina 1-A Conference battle Thursday evening.
Jala Holloman pumped in a game-high 29 points for the Eagles, who have 35 of their last 36 regular-season outings against conference opposition. Holloman also contributed six rebounds, five assists and four steals.
Alyssa Garrison collected 16 points on 7 of 11 shooting from the floor and dished out five assists.
Rosewood continues play next Tuesday at James Kenan.
