* Girls' basketball: Wayne Country Day 36, Parrott Academy 7 -- Janae Jones emerged as the Chargers' top scorer with 12 points. Hayden Nielsen and Langley Barnes knocked down eight points apiece. The Chargers (11-0 overall) entertain nemesis Greenfield on Friday.
* Boys' basketball: Wayne Country Day 69, Christ Covenant 35 -- Case Kermode dropped in a team-high 14 points for the Chargers, who improved to 14-3 overall this season. Marcus Metcalf provided 13 points. Noah Atwood scored nine points, while Cooper Edmondson chipped in eight points. WCDS plays host to Greenfield on Friday.
Middle schools
* Boys' basketball: Parrott Academy 51, Wayne Country Day 14 -- Will McDonald paced the Chargers' offense with six points. WCDS (2-7 overall) welcomes Coastal Plains Independent 1-A/2-A Conference foe Greenfield on Friday.
