Rosewood matmen roll past Fike, Pamlico County

Seven Rosewood wrestlers each logged a 2-0 worksheet during non-conference action against Wilson Fike and Pamlico County on Friday evening.
The Eagles prevailed in nine of 14 contested matches during their 49-22 romp over Fike. They received nine forfeits and an individual win from Jordan Todd in a 54-27 decision over Pamlico.
Todd, Jayden Thomas, Chris Hill, Timothy Decatur-Luker, Kaleb Taylor, Blake Dean and Hunter Weeks each won two matches. Dylan Melgar, Joey Behrend, Tanner Smith and Louis Tortual picked up one win apiece.
Rosewood (29-5 overall) returned to the mat Saturday for the Carolina/Two Rivers 1-A Conference duals. The winner of the day-long tournament emerges as the league's automatic qualifier to the N.C. High School Athletic Association dual-team playoffs.
