* Boys' basketball: James Kenan 61, Spring Creek 38 -- Allen Hickman emerged as the Gators' top scorer with 15 points. Xavion Garcia chipped in 14 points.
* Boys' basketball: Wayne Country Day 65, Terra Ceia 28 -- Will Rose led the Chargers with nine points. Teammates Jack Talton and Nick Fletcher each tallied eight points. WCDS (13-2) faces Cape Fear Christian on Tuesday.
* Girls' basketball: Wayne Country Day 41, Terra Ceia 12 -- Lexi Jeffreys provided a game-high 16 points in the Chargers' home win Friday. Katie Strickland chipped in eight points. WCDS, now 8-0 on the season, takes on Cape Fear Christian Academy on Tuesday.
* Boys' basketball: Chatham Thunder d. Goldsboro Heat -- Hayden Portela led Goldsboro with 18 points. Ben Daniels and Hayden Perry each contributed six points. The Heat visit Pitt County on Tuesday.
* Boy's basketball: New Bern 34, C.B. Aycock 26 -- Muhammad Brooks, Tayquan Hampton and Marquez Farmer tallied five points apiece for the Golden Falcons. Damone Greenfield scored four points.
