Mercer logs triple-double before half, Eagles rout Cougars

Lexi Mercer recorded a triple-double in the first half during Rosewood's 74-50 conquest of Carolina 1-A Conference foe Neuse Charter on Friday evening.
Mercer had 20 points, 10 rebounds and 12 steals by intermission. The Elon University signee ended the night with 30 points, 16 rebounds and 16 steals.
Payton Lane posted 11 points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals. Jala Holloman scored seven points. Nekia Williams (five rebounds), Hannah Daniels (four rebounds) and Alyssa Garrison (three steals) chipped in six points apiece.
The Eagles (11-3 overall, 6-0 CC) conclude first-half conference play at home Tuesday against Princeton.
