Chargers drop road affair at Freedom Christian

FAYETTEVILLE -- PJ Hill led three players in double figures with 16 points during Wayne Country Day's 68-48 loss to perennial power Freedom Christian on Wednesday evening.
It was the Coastal Plains Independent 1-A/2-A Conference opener for both teams.
Jamal Forde contributed 14 points. Justin Lofton-Russell knocked down 10 points. The Chargers trailed by eight points after three quarters, but couldn't pull any closer.
"(The) guys played very hard and competed," WCDS head coach David Flowers said.
The Chargers (11-8 overall, 0-1 CPIC) visit Pope John Paul II Catholic HS today.
