Rosewood matmen sweep tri-meet

Rosewood emerged victorious in 23 individual matches during a tri-meet sweep of Carolina 1-A/Two Rivers Conference foes Neuse Charter and Princeton on Wednesday evening.
The Eagles defeated Princeton 66-12 and Neuse Charter 64-12.
Jayden Thomas, Michael Daughtry, Kyle Balageo, Isaiah Kornegay, Richard Jest, Hunter Weeks, Blake Dean, Nyterrius Williams, Chris Hill, Timothy Decatur-Luker, Tanner Smith, Jordan Todd and Louis Tortual each picked up an individual win against the short-handed Bulldogs.
Princeton surrendered forfeits at five weight classes.
Todd, Tortual, Thomas, Seth Finney, Joey Behrend, Kornegay, Jest, Dean, heavyweight Kaleb Taylor, Decatur-Luker, Hill and Reid Amodeo each had their hand raised in victory against Neuse Charter.
Rosewood (22-3 overall) returns to action Saturday at the Firebird Duals, which is hosted by Southern Nash.
