Aycock girls endure loss to Jax Northside

JACKSONVILLE -- Senior Kourtney Mitchell scored 23 points and junior Kayla Stephens added 22 as Northside defeated Charles B. Aycock, 65-50, on day one of the East Coast Christmas Classic on Northside's home court.
The Monarchs led 35-20 at halftime.
Taylor Daniels paced the Golden Falcons with 17 points. Lexie Edmundson and Hannah Vinson contributed eight points apiece. Sean-Keya Faison scored six points.
Aycock (6-4 overall) met county rival Eastern Wayne in a consolation-round bracket earlier today.
