Aycock matmen finish 2-1 in Wayne-Wilson Challenge

WILSON -- Charles B. Aycock knocked off Hunt (49-24) and Beddingfield (78-0) during the Wayne-Wilson Challenge.
Fike handed the Golden Falcons a 38-36 defeat.
Overall, Aycock prevailed in 12 of 22 contested individual bouts, and collected 13 forfeits against Beddingfield. A total of 14 Golden Falcons combined for 28 wins -- including three each by Brandon Washington, Zack Creel, Chase Hapes, Joshua Wallace and Jaret Paynter.
Nicholas Smith, Randy Floars, Austin Doyle, Tyler Marquard and Cody Grenier logged two wins apiece. Hayden Gurley, James Reser and Justin Washington each won one match.
Aycock (13-6 overall) returns to action Monday for the 17th installment of the Terry Pilkington Memorial Duals -- the longest-running dual-team tournament in Wayne County.
Rosewood is the two-time defending champion.
Matches begin at 4 p.m.
