FOUR OAKS -- Chandler Matthews' backdoor layup and Cameron Kornegay's free throw helped Charles B. Aycock seal a 48-40, overtime win over South Johnston on Monday evening.
The Golden Falcons extended their win streak to three games and completed a regular-season sweep of the Trojans.
Tied at 40-40 after regulation, Kornegay opened the extra session with a 3-pointer. Eli Batts drained two free throws and Matthews followed with his layup.
Kornegay's conversion on the front end of a one-and-one free throw situation sealed the outcome. Kornegay ended the night as one of three players in double figures with 13 points.
Ian Best paced CBA with 17 points, while Matthews contributed 11.
