CBA girls defeat Trojans on hardwood

PIKEVILLE -- Tanika Powell and Hannah Vinson each turned in double-figure scoring performances during Charles B. Aycock's 48-35, non-conference triumph over South Johnston on Tuesday evening.
Powell pumped in 16 points that included a 6 of 8 showing from the free throw line. Vinson contributed 11 points, while Lexie Edmundson chipped in seven.
CBA shot 12 of 15 as a team at the free throw line.
The Golden Falcons visit Rosewood on Friday.
