WILSON -- Charles B. Aycock's tandem of Hayden Gurley and returning state qualifier Josh Wallace each concluded the day 3-0 during the Demon Duals contested at Fike High School.
The duo combined for six pins.
Jaret Paynter, who missed the Golden Falcons' season-opening dual, posted two pins. Teammates Brandon Washington, Austin Doyle, Tyler Marquard and Nicholas Smith notched two individual victories apiece.
Zach Creel and Clayton Schlomer each had one win.
Aycock defeated Raleigh Broughton 42-30, but dropped encounters against Fike (45-36) and Washington (45-33).
"Our team is a very young one and they came to prove themselves this weekend," second-year CBA head coach RJ Allen said. "(We) took third place out of 12 teams. Coach Charlie Mills has been working hard with the team and leading them into great expectations.
"I am looking forward to watching this team grow over the next few months and (am) excited by what I saw this weekend."
The Golden Falcons (2-3 overall) return to action Tuesday for a four-team dual at Princeton.
