1A soccer playoffs: North Duplins rolls over Southside

CHOCOWINITY -- Dario Castenada provided four goals and Juan Garcia collected a hat trick (three goals) as North Duplin eliminated Southside, 9-1, in opening-round action of the NCISAA 1-A playoffs Tuesday evening.
Castenada, who also handed out two assists, found the back of the net in the 7th, 29th, 47th and 50th minute. Garcia scored in the 19th, 28th and 55th minute.
Oscar Luna and Luis Velasquez recorded one goal apiece. Javier Eriza, Greg Hildago and Wilber Velasquez each handed out an assist.
ND goalie Luis Martinez logged three saves.
The 21st-seeded Rebels (11-8-1 overall) either travel to Carolina Conference champion James Kenan or entertain Pender on Saturday.
