Chris Pate's lone goal lifts Goldsboro on the road

DEEP RUN -- Chris Pate scored Goldsboro's lone goal in a 1-0 triumph over South Lenoir on the Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference scene Thursday afternoon.
There was no assist on the play.
Goldsboro attempted 13 shots, including seven on frame.
Cougars goalie Chandler Patrick recorded 12 saves between the pipes.
Goldsboro (9-9-0 overall, 5-3 ECC) continues play Monday at Ayden-Grifton.
