New Bern sweeps Aycock in ECC 3A-4A volleyball

NEW BERN -- Cyerra Carter registered a team-leading seven kills and three blocks in Charles B. Aycock's 25-18, 25-22, 25-21 loss to New Bern in an Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference match contested Tuesday afternoon.
Alexis Bynum and Arlanda Faulkner (two blocks) provided four kills apiece. Cassandra Lassiter served three of the team's seven aces and dished out 10 assists. CBA committed just five errors in 61 serve attempts.
Hannah Carter passed out seven assists. Sydney Schmeltzer and Faulkner led the Golden Falcons' defense with 23 and 15 digs, respectively. CBA had 65 digs as a team.
