Eagles' Tripple, Mercer combine for 30 kills

SALEMBURG -- Lexi Mercer cranked out 16 kills and Tayzlie Tripple pounded out 14 kills during Rosewood's 25-22, 25-23, 22-25, 25-21 conquest of 2014 Carolina 1-A Conference regular-season champion Lakewood on Tuesday afternoon.
Mercer and Tripple logged three blocks apiece.
Ada Rivera and Kaitlyn Kincaid dished out 23 and 10 assists, respectively. Hannah Daniels had four kills, while Hailey Weeks and Carrie Beckert each had two kills.
Mercer emerged as the defensive leader with seven digs, while Macy Tyndall picked up six.
Rosewood (12-8 overall, 9-4 CC) entertains North Duplin on Thursday.
