Middle schools

* Football: Norwayne 38, Spring Creek 0 -- Blake Dilda threw touchdown passs to Alijuan Moore and Omar Tucker during the Cobras' win on Monday afternoon. Tyler Hughes rushed for two touchdowns. Tucker and Jaalin Applewhite rushed for one TD apiece. Defensive leaders were Seth Shephard and Xavier Eutsey.

* Volleyball: Norwayne d. Dillard 25-11, 25-2, 25-13 -- Norwayne (9-1 overall) entertains Dillard today, and plays host to Eastern Wayne on Thursday

* Boys' soccer: Norwayne d. Dillard 9-0 -- The Cobras (5-2-2) return home today for a rematch against Dillard.

* Volleyball: Rosewood d. Greenwood 25-7, 25-11, 25-11 -- Laine Marak served 10 aces in the Eagles' straight-set win. Rosewood (8-4 overall) travels to Wayne School of Engineering on Thursday, Oct.22.

* Football: Grantham 24, Rosewood 14 -- Mark Graham rushed for three touchdowns for the victorious Bulldogs. Xavious Speight and Tanner Brock also contributed offensively. Trent Lancaster accounted for Rosewood's two touchdowns -- a rush and a pass reception. Grantham improved to 2-3 overall, while Rosewood suffered its second loss in four outings this season.

* Volleyball: Spring Creek d. Brogden 25-10, 25-11, 25-10 -- Shae Odom emerged as the Gators' offensive leader in the three-set decision. Spring Creek (9-1 overall) continues play at home Thursday against Dillard.
