Goldsboro earns PK shootout decison over Greene Central

SNOW HILL -- Goalie Chandler Patrick blocked Greene Central's final shot in the penalty-kick shootout, giving Goldsboro a 4-3 victory in Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference play Monday evening.
Mickey Eovine scored twice and Ruben Quiroz provided a single goal during regulation play. After two 10-minute overtime sessions, the teams remained deadlocked at 3-all.
In the PK shootout, Goldsboro received goals from Aaron Seate, Chris Pate, Jacob Seate and Jon Stevens.
The Cougars attempted 12 shots, including five on frame.
Patrick logged 14 saves in 100 minutes of action between the pipes.
Goldsboro plays back-to-back home games today (vs. South Lenoir) and Wednesday (vs. Kinston). Each contest has a 6 p.m. kickoff.
