Eastern Wayne rolls past Southern Wayne in tennis

DUDLEY -- Eastern Wayne swept the doubles courts and upended county rival Southern Wayne, 8-1, in an Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference match contested Tuesday afternoon.
The Warriors collected doubles points from Elizabeth Sutton-Morgan Agner, Brennan Dove-Samantha Roux and Emily Uzzell-Bella Bowen.
Sutton, Dove, Agner, Roux and Bowen each won in singles.
Stephanie Gonzalez collected the Saints' lone singles point.
Eastern Wayne (5-5 overall, 5-4 ECC) plays host to C.B. Aycock on Thursday. First serve is 4 p.m.
