Rosewood opens conference play with 3-set sweep of Hobbton

Rosewood opened its Carolina 1-A Conference season with a 25-10, 25-21, 25-14 victory over Hobbton on Tuesday afternoon.
Lexi Mercer recorded eight kills, three assists and five digs. Macy Tyndall emerged as the defensive leader with 11 digs, while Carrie Beckert logged eight digs.
Tayzlie Tripple had eight kills. Hannah Daniels contributed six kills and nine digs. Kaitlyn Kincaid, Ada Rivera and Payton Lane combined for 19 assists.
Rosewood (3-4 overall, 1-0 CC) visits defending 1-A state champion Princeton on Thursday.
