Sophomore Hunter Bryson posted a hat trick (three goals) during Wayne Country Day's 7-0 shutout of Faith Christian-Rocky Mount on Tuesday afternoon.
Luis Lopez added two goals and two assists. Noah Adkins distributed three assists and punched in one goal. Ben Cohen contributed one goal and one assist.
Tony Townsend handed out one assist.
WCDS keeper Patrick Hall recorded his third clean sheet (shutout) between the pipes.
"We started very quickly tonight, got control the game early on and took our chances," WCDS head coach Steve Ellis said. "We looked strong going forward and moved the ball well, and are creating chances for our attacking players. Four games in six games is tough and a few little injuries are coming in to play.
"With the rotation of personnel, we are managing well with whoever we put out there at the moment."
The Chargers (3-1-0 overall) visit Oakwood on Thursday.
