Eight UMO students recognized as Arthur Ashe Jr. Scholar Athletes

MOUNT OLIVE -- Eight University of Mount Olive student-athletes have earned recognition as Arthur Ashe Jr. Scholar Athletes for the 2014-15 academic year, according to "Diversity: Issues in Higher Education."
The publication honored Damilia Brooks, Francesca Ceppi, Bright Eto, Leah Graham, Aki Kitigawa, Alexis McNeil, Michael Munoz and Ty Wallace. Brooks, Ceppi, Kitigawa and Wallace are repeat winners.
The Arthur Ashe Jr. Scholar Athlete program selects student-athletes of color who have at least one year (two semesters) in residence and at least a 3.20 grade-point average. The student-athletes must also have demonstrated a record of service to the either the community or campus.
