ECBL: Spring Creek turns back South Lenoir

DEEP RUN -- Sawyer Smith worked five-plus innings on the bump and Josh Lebron cranked out three hits during Spring Creek's 5-2 triumph over South Lenoir in an ECBL game contested Tuesday.
Smith allowed two unearne runs, walked two and struck out three Blue Devil batters in 5 1/3 innings. Will Rouse collected the save with 1 2/3 innings of no-hit, one-strikeout relief.
Landon Smothers and Smith each had two hits.
Spring Creek (6-3 overall) visits Wayne Country Day today.
