ECBL: Pikeville Orange claims road doubleheader

CALYPSO -- Trey Jordan hurled a shutout in the opener and Chandler Gentry claimed the mound win the nightcap during Pikeville Orange's doubleheader sweep of ECBL foe North Duplin, 10-0 and 6-1, on Wednesday evening.
Jordan limited North Duplin to two hits and logged three strikeouts in the five-inning affair.
Caleb Matthews paced the Orange's offense with three hits and four RBI. Joey Hampton, Cam Kornegay (RBI) and Tyler Daniels each supplied one hit.
Caleb Smith and Chris Turner each had an RBI. Tyree Artis walked twice and scored two runs.
In game two, Gentry permitted one earned run on one hit, walked two and struck out two in three innings of work. Kornegay supplied two innings of six-strikeout relief.
Gentry led the offense with two hits and an RBI. Bradley Pate, Daniels (RBI), Kornegay (two RBI) and Seth Harrison each registered one hit. Landon Casey drew three walks.
Pikeville Orange returns to action next Monday at Bethel Christian.
