ECBL: Nix throws complete-game, four-hit shutout

Collin Nix threw a complete-game, four-hitter during Eastern Wayne's 4-0 conquest of North Lenoir Black in their Eastern Carolina Baseball League clash Tuesday afternoon.
Nix faced four batters over the minimum for a seven-inning game (21) and retired six North Lenoir batters on strikeouts. He threw 17 first-pitch strikes and had 57 strikes overall in an 82-pitch performance.
Eastern Wayne scratched out four hits -- one each by Case Kermode (RBI), Carlyle Smith, Brock Johnson and Jacob Ginn. Cole Steiner contributed an RBI. Johnson, Kermode, Jay Wiseman and Mike Wiggins each had a stolen base.
