Eagles' Floars named CCC golfer-of-the-year

RALEIGH -- Wayne Christian's Blake Floars earned medalist honors as well as Carolina Christian 1-A Conference player-of-the-year honors with a 73 in the season-ending tournament Tuesday.
Floars led the Eagles to a second-place tie with Cape Fear Christian in the team scoring at 380. Neuse Christian walked away with the CCC team title after shooting a 375.
Logan McKenzie shot a 90 for the Eagles and earned all-tournament honors. Maciah Singletary shot a 107, Drake Wise posted a 109 and Logan Jackson scored a 125.
