Ayden-Grifton mounds offensive charge in 6th inning

Ayden-Grifton erased a one-run deficit with a 14-run, sixth-inning uprising and turned back Goldsboro, 17-4, in an Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference game Monday.
Isaiah Core, Jared Howard (RBI) and Thomas Vick (RBI) provided two hits apiece for the Cougars. Ti'waun Hardy and Micheal Eltz (RBI) each contributed one hit.
Chandler Patrick, Howard and Vick each saw time on the bump for Goldsboro. The trio combined for eight hits and two strikeouts.
