Rebels' Pate throws another league shutout

CALYPSO -- Rylee Pate was dominant in the circle and North Duplin scratched across three runs to beat Carolina 1-A foe Rosewood on Tuesday evening.
Pate struck out 13, gave up just two hits and walked one. She added a hit on the offensive side as well.
The Rebels had six hits, but three went for extra bases. Alyssa Santos (two hits) had a double, as did Shaily McCarty and Haley Brodgen. Brogden drove in a run. Mary Barwick rounded out the offense with and RBI single.
Macy Tyndall and Carrie Beckert had the lone hits for the Eagles.
North Duplin (10-1-1 overall, 8-0 CC) is the guest of Princeton on Friday.
