Golden Falcons' Casey throws 5-hit shutout

PIKEVILLE -- Landon Casey threw a shutout in his first start on the mound as Charles B. Aycock defeated Rosewood 5-0 on Monday evening.
Casey surrendered six hits while striking out three.
Charlie Robertson went 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Bobby Hampton doubled and Braxton Leeper drove in a run with a base knock.
Ethan Chapin had two hits for Rosewood in a losing effort.
Matt Parsons endured the loss on the mound going 51/3 innings and giving up five runs on seven hits.
Aycock (14-4 overall) travels to South Central today, while Rosewood (7-8) visits North Duplin.
