Girls' Soccer

Eastern Wayne 1, Wilson Hunt 0

* After moving forward Megan Mozingo to the back line, the Eastern Wayne Warriors salvaged just four shots on goal.

They only needed one.

Mozingo found the back of the net after a Cameron Dove corner kick and the Warriors handed Wilson Hunt a 1-0 defeat on Friday evening.

Mozingo, teamed up with Dove in the center of the defense to keep No. 15-ranked Hunt off the scoreboard, despite 15 shots.

"Coming to Hunt and beating a state-ranked team is a great achievement for our very young squad," EW coach Jorg Wagner said. "(Megan and Cameron) are very experienced players and in difficult match ups, Megan's superb athleticism adds another layer of security to our back line."
