Jackson's 3-run bomb lifts Hawks on baseball diamond

Luke Jackson mashed a three-run homer as North Lenoir pummeled South Lenoir 10-3 in Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference play Tuesday evening.
Chad Ginn got the win on the mound, pitching 51/3 innings and striking out eight. He allowed three runs on six hits. Orlando Cannon finished the game in relief.
Braxton Greene, Turner Butler, Cannon and Jacob Baird each had two hits. Greene drove in three runs.
Garrett Letchworth hit a two-RBI double and Ethan Pittman and Drew Rogers had one hit apiece to round out the Hawks 12-hit attack.
North Lenoir (8-4 overall, 3-0 ECC) faces Goldsboro on Friday.
