Thompson powers CBA softball past Eastern Wayne

Michaela Thompson drove in two runs and had two doubles during her three-hit outing as Charles B. Aycock defeated archrival Eastern Wayne, 12-2, on Tuesday evening.
Mackenzie Wheeler also had three hits and two RBI. Mookie Powell and Hannah Carter had two hits apiece.
Allison Shingleton got the win in the pitcher's circle.
The Golden Falcons (5-4 overall) entertain Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference foe South Central today. First pitch is 4:30 p.m.
