Hawks open defense of ECC 2A baseball crown in dramatic fashion

Braxton Green reached base five times and North Lenoir edged Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference foe Kinston 7-6 on Tuesday evening.
Green drew four walks and hit a double in the seventh to score the game-winning run.
Orlando Cannon added three hits for the Hawks. Luke Jackson, Allen Sutton and Will Braxton each had two hits.
Drew Rogers got the pitching win, throwing three innings and allowing three runs on five hits.
North Lenoir is 4-2 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
