Aycock homers twice, beats Rose by mercy rule in softball

PIKEVILLE -- Madison Walton and Taylor Puetz both homered during Charles B. Aycock's 24-1 shellacking of Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A conference opponent J.H. Rose on a rainy Thursday afternoon.
Georgia Parnell and Allie Phillips each batted 3-for-3 at the plate and combined for three RBI. Parnell hit a double.
Mackenzie Wheeler earned the win in the circle.
The Golden Falcons (4-2 overall, 2-0 ECC) travel to D.H. Conley on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
