Barwick doubles twice, Saints top Gators in season opener

DUDLEY -- Junior Hunter Barwick rapped out two doubles in a three-hit performance, sparking Southern Wayne to a season-opening, 7-5 win over Spring Creek on the Doyle Whitfield Athletic Complex diamond Saturday afternoon.
Jack Casbarro (two RBI) and Chase Horton contributed two hits apiece. Cody Davis doubled in three official plate appearances.
Senior Matt Holland earned the mound win. Derek Holsinger notched the save.
Allen Coor and Hunter Walker each had two hits for the Gators.
