Buchan, Marriner lead SC girls against North Duplin

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Amber Buchan pumped in a game-high 20 points, and led Spring Creek to a 56-50 triumph over North Duplin in the Carolina 1-A Conference regular-season finale for both teams Friday evening.
Ashley Marriner added 14 points.
Rylee Pate and Shaily McCarty collected 15 points apiece for the Rebels. Deja Aycock knocked down 12 points.
The Gators (5-19 overall, 4-10 CC) return to action Monday at second-seeded Lakewood in the season-ending conference tournament. Meanwhile, the eighth-seeded Rebels (0-20, 0-14) visit top-seeded and regular-season co-champion Rosewood the same evening.
Each game tips off at 7:30 p.m.
