Champs: Eagles take ENCCC tournament crown

The Wayne Christian middle school girls' basketball team emerged as the Eastern North Carolina Christian Conference tournament champion with a 37-20 triumph over Faith Christian of Rocky Mount inside Clifford Gymnatorium on Tuesday evening. Beverly Table led all scorers with 14 points, including nine in the fourth quarter. Madison Wells provided 11 points and Abi Harrelson contributed eight points.
