WILSON -- Joel Davis led three Wayne Country Day players in double figures with 15 points during a 73-53 loss to Coastal Plains Independent 1-A/2-A archrival Greenfield.
Jamal Forde added 13 points. Vic Miller chipped in nine.
"Greenfield had a few good runs in the third quarter to pull away," said WCDS head coach David Flowers, whose team trailed by nine and lost senior Shahim Muhammad to a shoulder injury.
The Chargers (11-14 overall, 2-4 CPIC) face either Greenfield or Freedom in semifinal-round CPIC tournament play Friday.
