Rick Grantham has been on the wrong end of some blowouts during his coaching career. He knows how it feels to watch a team run the score up relentlessly.
Grantham cleared the bench early in the second half of a 59-16 victory over Carolina 1-A Conference foe Spring Creek on Friday evening.
"It's always good when you can get the girls who don't play as much in the game and they can get some points, and the girls who are usually on the court are sitting there jumping up cheering them on," Grantham said. "You don't want to bury a team but you never want your kids to stop playing hard. And we played hard all game."
Lexi Mercer led the Eagles with 19 points. Alyssa Garrison had 11 points and Krystal Yelverton chipped in nine.
Amber Buchan led the Gators with seven points.
Rosewood travels to Neuse Charter on Tuesday, while Spring Creek plays host to Neuse Charter.
