Preps digest: JV, middle schools

* Boys' basketball: Wayne Christian 42, Lee Christian 29 -- Austin Kornegay collected a double-double (16 points, 12 rebounds) in the Eagles' home win. Logan Jackson added six points. Jaxon Anderson contributed six points, 10 rebounds and two blocked shots. Micaiah Singletary provided six rebounds and six steals. Holden Foster (five points, four rebounds), Will White (five points), Noah Brown (four rebounds) and Chase King (four points, 10 rebounds) each turned in a solid performance for Wayne Christian.
Middle schools
* Boys' basketball: Grantham 69, Mount Olive 27 -- Jamal King pumped in a game-high 30 points for the Bulldogs, who claimed the Wayne County Middle School Athletic Conference Division II championship. DeAndre Wright scored 15 points. Teammates Justin Edwards and Jordan Lee supplied eight points apiece. Jaylen West led Mount Olive with 12 points. Grantham concluded the year 12-1 overall and 8-0 in division play.
