Rosewood matmen emerge victorious on senior night

Rosewood emerged victorious in 31 individual matches and swept a four-team meet contested Thursday night.
The Eagles defeated North Lenoir (69-8), Southern Nash (54-21) and Northern Nash (49-19).
Evan Reiss, Cameron Helt, Josh Drew, Malique Boyd and Tanner Smith each posted a 3-0 worksheet on the night. Joseph Waters, Dylan Melgar, Tanner Smith, Reid Amodeo and Kaleb Taylor each won a pair of matches.
Sam Drew, Rayquon Jones, Blake Dean, Nick Martin, Jayden Thomas and David Dotson each contributed one win.
Rosewood (41-4 overall) returns to action Saturday for the season-ending Carolina/Coastal 10/Two Rivers individual championships, which are hosted by Princeton. Opening-round matches begin at 10 a.m.
