Rosewood boys knock JK from unbeaten ranks in Carolina 1A play

Rosewood knocked James Kenan from the unbeaten ranks in Carolina 1-A Conference play, 55-52, on Tuesday evening.
The Tigers (11-4 overall) exited 8-1 and kept a half-game lead over Spring Creek, which travels to Princeton for a make-up game Thursday.
Dennis Mitchell pumped in 17 points for the Eagles, while Zack Barnes chipped in 14 points. Marquail Al-montaser provided nine points.
Nick Taylor led the Tigers' offense with 20 points. John Brooks contributed 17.
Rosewood (11-5, 7-2) returns to action Friday at Lakewood. James Kenan returns home Friday for a matchup against North Duplin.
