Leopards break away from ND boys in 3rd quarter

CALYPSO -- North Duplin won three quarters of its game against Lakewood, but a third-quarter collapse cost them dearly in a 61-52 loss to their Carolina 1-A Conference rival Tuesday.
The Leopards outscored the Rebels 30-7 in the third quarter.
Cedrick Kornegay had 15 points for the Rebels and Tyree Payton added 14. Trey Pate contributed 12.
North Duplin (2-13 overall) visits James Kenan on Friday.
