Goldsboro boys avoid letdown against Greene Central

There would be no hangover from Goldsboro's upset over three-time defending 2-A state champion Kinston on Saturday evening.
On Tuesday, the Cougars kept the momentum going with a 78-59 win over Greene Central in Eastern Carolina 2-A Conference play.
Myron Carmon led the way with 19 points for Goldsboro. Jalin Thomas dropped in 12 points and Joe Baker contributed nine points.
Goldsboro (16-2 overall, 4-1 ECC) entertains South Lenoir on Friday.
