* Girls' basketball: Cresset Christian 25, Wayne Christian 21 -- Abi Harrelson paced the Eagles' offense with 10 points. Beverly Tabe contributed three points. Wayne Christian concludes regular-season play at home Thursday against Lee Christian.
Middle schools
* Girls' basketball: Grantham 36, Brogden 6 -- Erykah Baldwin dropped in 10 points and Alexis Elliott contributed seven for the victorious Bulldogs. Nine different players scored for Grantham, which improved to 8-2 overall and 5-0 against Wayne County Middle School Athletic Conference Division II opposition this season. The Bulldogs visit Greenwood on Wednesday.
* Boys' basketball: Grantham 69, Brogden 30 -- Jamal King and DeAndre Wright sizzled the nets for 23 and 22 points, respectively, in the Bulldogs' romp. Justin Edwards added 10 points. Daetwon Barnes guided the Rams' offense with a team-best 15 points. Grantham climbed to 9-1 overall this season.
Correction
In Sunday's edition of the News-Argus, a name was incorrectly reported to the News-Argus concerning the Faith Christian-Bethel Christian varsity girls' game.
Morgan Hoskins led the Conquerors with 19 points in the loss to BC.
