Goldsboro boys stun previously-unbeaten South Lenoir

DEEP RUN -- Goldsboro built as much as a 22-point lead and handed No. 2-ranked and previously-unbeaten South Lenoir a 68-54 loss Friday evening.
Myron Carmon returned from a one-game absence and led four Cougars in double figures with 16 points. Rasheen Artis (14), Joseph Baker (13) and Jaylin Thomas (11 points) also provided key offense for the No. 7-ranked Cougars.
Carmon and Artis combined to shoot 5 of 9 from the 3-point line.
Tyrique Tyson blocked three shots. Artis and Tyson pulled down five and four rebounds, respectively.
It was the Eastern Carolina 2-A opener for both teams.
